Hello, vito_spatafore.
Be a bit more patient, please. Find a potential release time in Clem's comment here. To the best of my knowledge, at this point in time, you cannot download Rebecca anywhere.
Kind regards,
Karl

There is not one, since Rebecca has not yet been released. Once it's ready you can download from the usual download page. Until then, if you want, you can download 17, and then update to 17.1 when the time comes.vito_spatafore wrote:where can I find the link to download Rebecca...

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 codenamed 'Rebecca'
Id like to ask about upgrade to Rebecca. Ive never upgraded before, so Im not sure if i understand correctly.
Those who are using 17 now can either install 17.1 from the USB (from scratch) or they can wait until the end of the month and than there will be some way to upgrade to Rebecca without having to do clean install? So it will be done from the terminal or update manager? It that right?

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 codenamed 'Rebecca'
So, i installed Rebecca from usb. I was bored .
Its nice. I changed icon color and set automatic changes of desktop wallpapers.
I works without problems for me.
However, i didnt notice any other significant changes compared to LM 17 yet.
So OK, i like customisation options in 17.1 and I dont regret uprading. But, if you dont care about visual effects so much than I think upgrade is not necessary.

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 codenamed 'Rebecca'
Mint 17 is an LTS release, supported until April 2019
Mint 17.1 is very much an optional upgrade - if you are happy with your Mint 17 you are free to stick with it

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 codenamed 'Rebecca'
Hey all.
Downloaded and had a play with Rebecca........
Can't fault it. Well done team.
Only one thing........... is there a plan any time to allow us to by default have a window centre on opening?
You know the bigger the screen - and let's face it all our screens are getting bigger - the more annoying to have to reposition a window every bloody time it opens!
My only gripe.......... and a little one at that.
Look forward to the release so I can upgrade from 17 to 17.1

You can upgrade from 17 to 17.1 now without having to reinstall if you want, edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/official-package-repositories.list and change the lines from qiana to rebecca where applicable.cinnamoncoffee wrote:Id like to ask about upgrade to Rebecca. You shouldn't have to disable any ppas because mint 17.1 is still on the trusty base.
I have done it on my main pc with cinnamon without a problem.
Always do a full system backup with someting like clonezilla before doing this, it never hurts.

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 codenamed 'Rebecca'
how about trying the University of Maryland Mirror (along with the others) I bet you will find the .Iso's there. http://mirror.umd.edu/linuxmint/images/stable/17.1/
I downloaded it last night in fact. The reason for the wait is that they have to make sure everyone is up and running before general release. I would advise not flooding the umd servers though, just google linux mint mirrors and look around for other locations.
Or you could just wait till they give you the links on Main
