Themes installed but not listed?

Post by wirefox »

Trying out KDE and installed several themes via "get themes" but when I go back to the theme list to install they're not on the theme list for install? Tried many times but same result.

Sorry to say this but it could be you are doing something wrong.
When you open the system settings and click on Workspace appearance, you can choose which item you want to extend with new themes:
Desktop, Cursor, Splash or the windows decorations.
For example choose Desktop. On the right hand side you get all the installed themes available. Underneath there is a button called get more themes.
Click it and you are on the internet browsing all possible themes. Each one has a button called install. When you find a nice one, click it so it will be installed.
When you're done doing this, close the window and you are back in the system settings. Now all the newly added themes should be there.
Choose them one by one till you find the one you really like and click on Apply.

Now I wrote "the newly added themes should be there". If not, something is definitely wrong in your computer.
Tell us some more about how you did it and what happened then. Maybe we can find out what is the problem.
