Problem has disappeared with last night's update of:
from 5.15.0.101 to ~.102 via Update Manager. Must have been a bug in the previous version of one of these packages. Thanks to everybody for their input.

Just to clarify, it's not when booting up, it's when shutting down.

Options to Snooze or Dismiss are only temporary.
It recurs monthly.
I need to find out where it's coming from so I can permanently delete it.

I have dozens of calendar entries that recur monthly, but this is the only one I get an annoying notification from. I just deleted it completely from Thunderbird, and created a new one, worded differently so come September, I'll know if TB is even the source.

No, it's a monthly reminder. Comes back each month.

Noticed also if I boot up plugged in, upon unplugging that first time, it will also dim to minimum screen brightness. Nobody has a suggestion here?

Recently bought an ASUS ZenBook 13 UM325UA-DS71, deleted Windows, and installed Mint 21.1 Cinnamon. About 99% sure the problem was Easystroke. I was using it to map some of my mouse keys. Switched to Input Remapper and the problem is gone.
